Runaway Festival 2015 - Los Angeles

Runaway Festival 2015 Los Globos, Silverlake, CA Runaway Festival 2015 was an amazing DIY festival organized by Danger Collective and some great minds of Echo Park. The highlights were heavy hitters Retox with members of the Locust and many more bands. Retox rocked out with Justin Pearson’s intense vocals and theatrics. No Age were also awesome and have a big sound for a 2 piece band. They have some great songs and bring a great energy to the crowd.

White Hills - Los Angeles at the Echo

Super spaced out and heavy, psychedelic rock band White Hills are performing at my favorite Los Angeles venue called the Echo in Echo Park, Los Angeles, California tonight June 18th, 2015. New York City’s White Hills are going to transform you into another dimension with their amazing live show in support of their new album “Walks for Motorists.” Come one, come all to witness modern psychedelia’s best with heavy, distorted riffs, lasers, and a trip to another galaxy.

The 3 Best Casino Theatres for Live Shows

There are very few things quite as enjoyable as being able to travel to see some of the world’s greatest shows, and with the increased popularity of live theatre shows, some beautiful auditoriums and amphitheatres have been erected all over the world. Many of these theatres have been built within the grounds of casinos as well. With the rapid growth of online gambling, casinos now find themselves struggling to keep the attention of former patrons, as well as appeal to wider audiences, especially as online casinos have begun to encroach on their territory.

Objects, Faces & Places - My Visual Diary

Since early 2009, I have lived in constant motion traveling to and living in various cities around the world. Sometimes I stay put in certain cities that I have an attraction towards, for up to a year at a time. Some of the cities which I’ve stayed in for more extended periods include London, Los Angeles and New York City. My lifestyle has led me to have some pretty surreal and amazing experiences and even better, the fortune of meeting some very interesting people.

Silencio | Cannes – Queer Palm closing night party

Every year, along side the Cannes Film Festival, Cannes Classics plays a selection of older films, screened on the beach at the Cinema de la Plage and open to the public. In the years I’ve attended they’ve played Jaws, James Bond, and a bunch of other great films. This year’s program was no exception. On opening night, they played one of my all time favorites, Fellini’s 8 ½. On the nights to follow they played: the Warriors, Hairspray, Purple Rain and for the 30th anniversary of the Spaghetti Western, they featured Sergio Leone’s: For a Few Dollars More; and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

The Tragical History Tour -Hollywood, CA

Dearly Departed is the labor of Scott Michaels’ love of Hollywood’s glorious history and seedy undercurrent. The result is a tremendous tour of dark comedy, fascinating trivia and some downright gruesome happenings. Some quirky sightings that stuck out in my mind were Bela Lugosi’s cigar shop. For some reason I imagine him shopping in grainy, slow motion and scaring the other shoppers. Another funny point of interest was the salon where Marilyn Monroe first went blonde, the Happy Days house, the liquor store Halle Berry crashed into, the house from Halloween and the house from Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, this man knows his business.
