A Taste of L.A. Soul Delivered with Munchery's New Celebrity Chef Roy Choi

On Aug 21st, 2015, Munchery and Roy Choi announced the pleasure of hosting a free foodie event extravaganza at the Line Hotel in Koreatown, Los Angeles, California. The two new Munchery and Roy Choi dishes are Kimchi Pork Belly Fried Vice and Cheezy Short Rib Instant Ramen. These are two unique dishes that are quite personal to Roy inspired by his Korean roots. A few years ago, I was lucky enough to try the Kogi food truck.

Caviar 101 at Petrossian - Beverly Hills

Caviar 101 takes place from 7:30-8:00 p.m. the first Thursday and Friday during the month of June. Normally offered just the first Thursday of each month, in June students can participate in a Caviar 101 class either Thursday or Friday, June 2nd or 3rd. For $35 guests have the opportunity to sample up to the 3 types of caviar and 2 roes, paired with either a glass of Champagne or a flute of vodka.

Kulov Tea Festival @ Royal-T

From Friday, May 13 – Sunday, May 15, 2011, Royal/T—Culver City’s playful Japanese “cosplay” maid café, art exhibition space, and retail store—hosts Kulov’s Annual Tea Lovers Festival for three days of film, food, shopping, and special programming, all centered around the art and appreciation of tea. In its second year at the eclectic Japanese-inspired space, the collaborative festival between Kulov and Royal/T will celebrate the special relationship between tea and popular culture with educational workshops, documentary screenings, live world music and dancing, tea tastings, and unique tea products for purchase in the Royal/T shop leading up to the weekend-long event (Free admission; tastings, workshops, and labs are $10 – 25 each).
