Four Seasons is probably the most magnificent hotel you can find in the most beautiful city in South America: Buenos Aires. Difficult to compete with the prestige of an early 20th-century, French-style mansion located in La Recoleta district, basically one the best areas in town. You can walk around safely and enjoy the magic light, the high-end boutiques are only ten minutes walk and if you keep walking a few more minutes you can visit the Argentinian answer to the Parisian Père La Chaise: La Recoleta Cemetery, a strangely beautiful city inside the city. Even though the hotel's building is historic, there's nothing of modern confort that is missing in it. Besides more than 100 spacious guest rooms, Four Seasons offers seven one-of-a-kind suites in the adjacent Belle Époque-style mansion. Warm, comfortable tower accommodations feature leather upholstered headboards and dark mahogany furnishings. Suites in La Mansion have either French country décor, with high ceilings, antiques and Toile de Jouy wallpaper, or a more contemporary classical look. Opulent marble bathrooms include a deep soaking tub, separate shower and WC with bidet and telephone. Preferred Rooms and Suites on the seventh and eighth floors of the tower enjoy complimentary access to The Library, an exclusive lounge on the seventh floor that provides a selection of international newspapers and magazines, complimentary Internet access. And since you are in Argentina, don't forget to treat yourself. After a long day out shooting I went for dinner at casually elegant Le Mistral, the hotel's restaurant where I tasted a subtle and fresh Mediterranean cuisine prepared with South American flair. Afterwards I went to the adjacent split-level bar, Le Dôme, to try some top Argentine wines. Do I really have to add it was a perfect stay in the perfect hotel?
