On a grand business scale, the Hyatt Regency Plaza has created desirable accommodations perfect for hosting business minded travelers. The Century City location is just a second away from Beverly Hills off Santa Monica Blvd, making the to and from of my west LA meetings quick and easy- no notorious LA traffic. I arrived during dinner time and the lobby bar (Lobby Court and Patio) seemed to be a popular attraction among the corporate guests. I later discovered there were a number of business conventions taking place. The hotel offers the largest ballroom in Los Angeles and a wow-zing 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space. My stay being on a more personal-business level, after a breezy check-in, I was happy to pass by Starbucks next to the gift shop on the way to the elevator.

The guest room was huge and arranged with two beds, sofa, desk and the absolute necessities - a great electronic system featuring iPod docking station and TV. Even better than the room itself, was the luxurious bathroom. I love when hotels get the bathroom right. The bathroom was immaculate- perfect for a bubble bath. To top it off, The Hyatt Regency Plaza has just installed a state of the art, purified air system. My room was a brand new “Respire” room, which means it had the cleanest environment throughout the entire hotel industry. It was wonderful to get an amazing night’s sleep in fresh, pure air.

My overnight stay in LA was short, so I woke up early the next morning and made it to the hotel’s onsite gym, Equinox. The gym was located in the hotel’s picturesque garden and across from the palm-tree lined pool with private cabanas. The Equinox gym is the best and I wish I had more time to visit the spa!

A full-service hotel, the Hyatt Regency Plaza offers 24-hour room service. In addition, the hotel’s restaurant Breeze has an extensive menu as well as sushi bar and is award winning. If you want to venture out of the hotel to eat- try Mr Chow and KOI, and IVY, my favorite LA dining pleasures.

The valet parking was quick and efficient. Even though the hotel was bustling, I didn’t have to wait long for my car. The Hyatt Regency Plaza offers a plethora of comfortable amenities, making this select hotel an attractive choice among the many to choose from in my favorite city of Los Angeles.
