One’s olfactory senses are immediately aroused by an array of vivid aromas of red and black fruit characteristic of the Stag’s Leap terrior. Freshly picked strawberries followed by hints of blackberry and blueberry mingles with notes of vanilla, clove and a strong background of anise. The total impression is multi-layered and complex prodding the desire to experience the wine. The palate is not disappointed as it is greeted by a very balanced mixture of silky tannins and a variety of intimations of leather, chocolate and espresso.
